The Chairman of ATAA discussed the joint cooperation of associations operating in the tourism sector with the Brazilian Ambassador

The possibilities for cooperation between the tourism associations of Azerbaijan and Brazil, the organization of reciprocal visits, and the implementation of joint initiatives were discussed during a meeting between the Chairman of the Association of Travel Agences of Azerbaijan (ATAA), Goydeniz Gahramanov, and the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Azerbaijan, Manuel Adalberto Carlos Montenegro Lopes da Cruz.

During the meeting, the ATAA Chairman provided the Brazilian Ambassador with detailed information about the Association’s activities and its role in the development of the country’s tourism sector.

Goydeniz Gahramanov emphasized that the dynamic development of Azerbaijan’s tourism sector in recent years has created extensive opportunities for international partnerships. He noted that the opening of new tourism destinations is significant for the country’s tourism industry. He also pointed out that Brazil, with its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, is one of the attractive destinations for Azerbaijani tourists. The ATAA Chairman highlighted that the establishment of mutual connections between the associations would bring significant economic and cultural benefits to the tourism industries of both countries.

Ambassador Manuel Adalberto Carlos Montenegro Lopes da Cruz, for his part, emphasized that his country attaches special importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of tourism. He stressed the importance of promoting Azerbaijan’s tourism potential more widely in Brazil and establishing direct connections between the association members. The diplomat also emphasized that the embassy would continue to provide support in this direction.

During the meeting, the establishment of tourism connections between Azerbaijan and Brazil’s associations and other tourism-oriented organizations, the holding of online and B2B format meetings, the broader promotion of the tourism potential of both countries, the expansion of links between ATAA members and Brazilian travel agents, the exchange of experiences, as well as the organization of travel opportunities for ATAA members in the run-up to COP 30, including visa support and other matters, were discussed, with the embassy offering continued support.
