The Association of Travel Agencies of Azerbaijan (ATAA) was established on 28th of March, 2019, and presented to the public on 27th of June of the same year.
The key function of the Association is active participation in the development of the tourism industry, establishment and expansion of effective cooperation between the public and private sectors, protection of members’ interests, and support to the development of tourism products and improvement of the service quality in Azerbaijan.
Acting as one of the key players in triggering the growth of incoming tourism, the Association brings together agencies that meet standards by providing high quality tourism services and prioritizing the development of the country’s tourism industry.
Currently, the Association has 153 members, selected based on their activity, professionalism, and measured by client satisfaction.
Since its establishment, the ATAA has been actively involved in the tourism sector, successfully collaborating with the State Tourism Agency, Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, Azerbaijan Hotel Association, Azerbaijan Tourism Guides’ Association, Azerbaijan Tourism Bloggers’ Association, as well as Azerbaijan Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Air Astana, Air Arabia, and several other airlines, embassies of foreign countries in Azerbaijan, and tourism organizations to foster mutual cooperation.
The Association also expands its cooperation with tourism organizations such as Türkiye’s TURSAB, as well as partners in Russia, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and other Middle Eastern countries, Central Asian partners to develop the marketing and promotion of country’s tourism potential and increase attractiveness.
ATAA is an associative member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
